Header Pic

During a business trip to Dublin, Ireland in early 2017 my colleagues and I took the opportunity to tour Christ Church Cathedral. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, and one I am so glad we made. The cathedral is immensely beautiful and loaded with history. During the tour, we were allowed the opportunity to climb into the bell tower and actually ring the bells. Yes, we pulled the ropes and rang the bells. Gave me chills! To get to the bell tower, we climbed a staircase and traversed a walkway along the roof to the bell tower door. I took this picture on my iPhone as we walked back across the outside walkway. The header is just a section; the full photo appears below:

Broader view of the view. Gorgeous!

One of the blessings of my work is the ability to travel and see beautiful landmarks such as this. I hear many who travel frequently focus on the negative – long security lines, rude airline employees (it’s usually not their fault by the way, but that’s another post) and the like. Even at my age, travel is still a thrill, and this is just one example as to why I feel that way.

Here are a few more pics from the cathedral, all taken on my iPhone:

If you’re blessed with the opportunity to travel, I encourage you to try and take some time to see the local sights and soak up some history.

Soli DEO Gloria!
